CURB ENTERTAINMENT BREAKS OUT WITH “BREAKING DAWN”
23-year old Mark Edwin Robinson makes Directorial Debut in Castlight Pictures and Sodium Entertainment’s BREAKING DAWN at Cannes Marche du Film.

Cannes, France – Curb Entertainment sold BREAKING DAWN in a snowball reaction phenomenon including such territories as the UK (Home Entertainment), Benelux (MovieBank), Greece (Village Roadshow), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), Indonesia (Rapi), and Thailand (New World).

“It is so nice to see this kind of reaction from buyers. After each screening, they raced back to acquire the film. It’s like old times,” said Carole Curb, president of Curb Entertainment. “It’s amazing to have a film of this caliber from such a young, talented filmmaker,” she said, speaking of 23 year-old Mark Edwin Robinson’s directorial debut.

BREAKING DAWN is an indie psychological thriller starring Kelly Overton (Ring II, Broadway's The Graduate co-staring Kathleen Turner and Jason Biggs), James Haven – Angelina Jolie’s brother (Original Sin, Monsters Ball), and Joe Morton (Pay Check, Ali, Dragonfly, What Lies Beneath, Terminator 2, Speed 1 & 2).

BREAKING DAWN follows the suspenseful journey of a beautiful medical student (Kelly Overton) who investigates the dark secrets of a murderous mental patient DON WAKE (James Haven). As she pushes the patient to reveal the truth about a brutal killing, she becomes consumed by his paranoia, entering a dark place where reality is blurred by the ravings of a madman. On the edge of sanity she must take an extraordinary risk to save herself. The spine-tingling ending will leave you breathless.

BREAKING DAWN’S unique script, written by Mark Edwin Robinson, has attracted a notable supporting cast, including Diane Venora (The Insider, Heat, Romeo + Juliet), Sarah-Jane Potts (Felicity), Hank Harris (Pumpkin, Lyon’s Den), Kathryn Joosten (The West Wing), and Edie McClurg (A Bug's Life, The Little Mermaid, Ferris Bueller's Day Off).

Castlight Pictures partnered with Sodium Entertainment (Flying Changes) to produce the film with a production team that includes Director of Photography Ken Glassing; Producer Brady Nasfell; Executive Producers David Robinson, Leo Bollar and Derrick Smith; and Associate Producers Shana Gilbert and Kurt Schemper.
